Tibnor – Implementing RISE with SAP and migrating to S/4HANA

Challenge

The latest update of their ERP system origins to 2009. The need for cleaning up old code and extra functions no longer in use was comprehensive.

To migrate, they first had to upgrade their existing ECC solution to ensure a smooth transition to SAP S/4HANA. In total, the project involved eight upgrades and was done without system downtime, which was crucial as Tibnor business is heavily dependent on 24/7 operations.

Solution

The project started as a standard update to S/4. But when Tibnor fully realized the opportunities given by “RISE with SAP”, SAP's new service offering combining SAP products and offering "business transformation as a service," their choice was obvious, allowing allowed them to cover all current business needs but also have expansion options for needs that may arise in the future.

It also allowed Tibnor to follow SAP's strategic development path with the option of a 100 percent cloud-based solution, facilitating continuous system upgrades for easy access to new functions, features and innovations.

Implementing “RISE with SAP” and migrating to S/4HANA was a 5-month project. Pearl assumed significant responsibility from Tibnor, coordinating the entire process directly with SAP.

The new platform gives Tibnor excellent support for its core and support processes, as well as provides guidance to next-generation industry best practices.
