Komplett gave their customers a queue-free shopping experience on Black Friday. Thus they passed the acid test after migrating their web sites and SAP to the cloud. "The customer could shop without the system crashing which our new Azure solution contributed to," says CIO Jostein Tuhus Sørli in Komplett.
"There´s a lot of hard work behind this success, and we rely on our partners who understand us and what Black Friday is for the retail industry. Our partners Pearl, Atea and Microsoft understand this," says Tuhus Sørli.
Komplett decided to migrate to the cloud in April 2018. Microsoft Azure was chosen as a platform for everything and Pearl was responsible for migrating the entire SAP platform to Azure. All servers should be in the cloud by the end of September, in order to host Black Friday. It has been an exciting time for the CIO and his colleagues in Komplett.
